Public health campaign

This section includes information about London’s campaign to raise awareness of asthma management for children and young people.

In 2015 all of London’s community pharmacies took part in a 10-week campaign to raise awareness of asthma management for children and young people. They were also asked to collect asthma-related data of people aged up to 18 years.

Over 65 per cent of pharmacies took part in the audit with information gathered on over 9600 children and young people. See the results from the campaign.

What happened to the information gathered?

The data has been made available to clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) across London. The aim is for CCGs to use the information to design asthma service pathways that will include community pharmacies.
