1) Run a First 1001 days programme, focusing on improving outcomes for women and children from conception through to the child’s second birthday.
2) Run a Resilient Families Programme (RFP) as a partnership response to whole system re-design of support to children, young people and families, across the whole continuum of need from pre-birth through to 19 (up to 25 with disabilities).
3) Run an Integrated Early Years Service and have been awarded a Certificate of Commitment to mark its first step towards gaining UNICEF Baby Friendly accreditation. This is a significant early milestone in the accreditation process.
4) Run a Community Investment Programme, in which the Council is building 3,050 new homes, including 1,400 affordable homes and has funding support from the GLA for the existing programme. Good quality and affordable housing and good jobs are essential for tackling child poverty and ensuring every child has the best start in life.
