Pan London General Practice Nurses Community of Practice
This group was established as a collaboration between the Macmillan Primary Care Nursing Project and Transforming Cancer Services Team for London. It is a pan London Cancer Community of Practice for general practice nurses, with a focus on managing cancer as a long-term condition. This group aims to support the growth of GPN clinical leadership in cancer across London. The group currently has members from across all 5 London ICS geographies and currently meets monthly via MS teams.
The group have worked collaboratively with NHSE, and Macmillan and other partners to develop the role of the General Practice Nurse in relation to cancer and have established connections with their local cancer colleagues. Members have created several resources including a draft business case to be used by members and other General Practice Nurses to encourage change in practice.
