Good Thinking, the NHS-approved digital mental wellbeing service that is free for Londoners, has partnered with the Foundation for Positive Mental Health to help those in London who are experiencing common mental wellbeing concerns and are looking to improve their concentration and confidence in all walks of life.
Feeling Good offers audio programmes centred around Positive Mental Training for adults and for teens. The app is based on a Swedish Olympic sports performance programme, which was adapted to boost mental health and resilience. Feeling Good’s research in the NHS shows that this can help recovery from anxiety and depression, helping you let go of worries, cope better with stress, and sleep better.
How does it help?
- The 12 audio tracks in the Feeling Good app help you to build essential skills – not only to deal with mental stresses and strains but to bounce forwards and become mentally stronger and more resilient.
- The programmes combine deep relaxation with Olympic sports techniques that calm your mind and body and lift your mood, helping you to feel more positive, let go of worries, sleep better, and deal with stresses more easily.
- There are other modules in the app to help you feel positive about ageing, stop smoking, and maintain a healthy weight.
- Feeling Good is proven to positively improve long-term wellbeing and resilience, recovery from stress, depression and anxiety, burnout, and more. People have also seen improvement in sleep within the first two weeks of use.

Feeling Good Teens
Feeling Good Teens offers Positive Mental Training audio programmes for 10 to 15-year-olds to develop self-esteem, resilience and goal-focused motivation. The app is adapted with shorter tracks and a different reader, from the adult app Feeling Good: positive mindset app, which is based on a Swedish Olympic sports performance programme. Feeling Good’s research in the NHS shows that this can help with letting go of worries, cope better with stress, and sleep better.

What do people say about it?
“I don’t know how it’s happened but I feel more robust since doing these sessions and strongly feel it’s significantly more effective than [other apps] I’ve also been using. It’s helped me understand I have been very anxious for years and is helping me see past events very differently which is so helpful I can’t tell you. Every session I’m slowly chipping away at [anxiety] and letting light, calmness and peace into my life. This has been life-changing for me. Thank you doesn’t feel enough and I’m recommending it to all my friends and work colleagues. It’s amazing!” Londoner
“For me, having them doing it at the start of the lesson was more beneficial because they were calmer and they were more able to learn because they had got to that point because they were settled. For the classes that settled quite quickly anyway I used it as a bit of a reward at the end of the lesson to take some time to calm before they moved on to their next lesson” Teacher
“I learnt from the recordings just keep trying. If you feel distressed then just keep trying. You’re not going to ace it the first time, because no one is perfect. That’s how to prepare yourself for life. If you ace it every time then, what would be the point” Student
